Today Derby County confirmed that striker Johnny Russell is facing up to six weeks out of action due to a a fractured fibula in his left leg, which was suffered in the concluding parts of Derby’s magnificent 3-1 win over Leeds United.
Fortunately for Russell, the international break is underway so he could only miss four fixtures; including trips south to face high-flyers Watford and Queens Park Rangers.
This isn’t the first time that the Scot has had trouble with that leg. Last year he broke it.
It comes as he was just starting to look like a very important part of the side.
I certainly wish him a speedy recovery.
Vote below on who should replace him in the side.
