Today, Derby supporter Kye Crossley has written his thoughts on the game for NathanMorley.co.uk. Here’s his thoughts on the game-

After today’s 1-0 loss to Huddersfield, Derby can feel they were very hard done by. The Rams at least deserving a draw, and maybe even a win.

The Rams started slowly, and were punished by Danny Ward’s goal within a minute of the start of the match. The team didn’t have the best of first halfs, they failed to cause any threat going forward, and rightly went into the break behind.

Whatever Clough said to the players at half-time seemed to work, as they dominated the second half, and were denied 2 stone wall penalties by the referee who was absolutely atrocious.

The match stats fail to show Derby’s dominance, with the possession being 50-50, and only having one shot on target all match.

Personally, my man of the match would have to go to Crag Bryson. He kept bursting from midfield time and time again, and most of the good things came from him.

Hughes struggled to get into the match, but what he did do was excellent.

Jamie Ward was a threat gong forward after moving to the left wing, but failed to deliver a goal as they so deserved.

Overall, it was a very good second half performance, but a poor first half cost them ultimately.

Thank you very much Kyle for your views.

The Rams now have the benefit of two upcoming home games, Charlton on Tuesday and Burnley on Saturday. Former Ram Chris Powell will return to Pride Park as manager of The Addicks. Charlton are one place below Derby, after a 1-0 defeat to Crystal Palace, and Burnley lie in 15th place following a thrilling 5-2 win over Peterborough today.

On a final note, RIP to huge Rams fan Dougles Else. He was commonly known, amongst Derby fans, as ‘Badgeman’.
