On Thursday Miles Addison completed his move to Bournemouth, here’s what he said after making the move “Once I saw that Paul was confirmed as manager, it made the decision much easier. With the signings the cub has made and the direction that the club is going, which I saw last season, I realised that my decision was easier that it could have been. When I first came here, I said that people from the outside are viewing Bournemouth as a big club now and that’s what’s happening again. The momentum is building with the signing’s that Paul is making. He has sorted his backroom staff out and I think that everyone from the outside is looking in and are expecting Bournemouth to be up there this season. I’ve come here to win things. I want to achieve things here at Bournemouth and I think with everyone pulling in the same direction and with the squad we have, we can achieve automatic promotion.”
Colchester defender Magnus Okuonghae was believed to be a target for Derby County this summer and a number of other championship clubs however he has decided to stay at Colchester, penning a new three-year deal. He had officially left Colchester and look around other clubs but did opt to stay. After opting to stay the centre-half said “I’ve spoken to a number of different managers, but John Ward (Colchester United Manager) comes out of this with flying colours and he is one of the main reasons I’ve decided to come back.”
Derby County target Kelvin Mellor will sign a new three-year-deal at Crewe tomorrow (Monday). The defender had been offered a three-year deal by The Rams but reports say he’s signed a new deal to stay at Crewe.
