The Latest Transfer News Surrounding DCFC (27/6/12)

Here’s a round up of today’s Derby county transfer stories.

St Johnstone are close to securing Lee Croft’s on loan for all of the 2012/13 season.“It looks like Lee will be going back to Scotland. It will probably be a season-long loan, which would give us the option to call him back in January and do something with another club if the opportunity arose.” said boss Nigel Clough. The former Manchester City and Norwich winger spent the later parts of last season on loan at McDiarmid Park.

Bournemouth are close to securing a deal with Derby to re-sign transfer listed defender/midfielder Miles Addison permanently. £200k is the rumoured fee for the 23 year old who spent the end of last season on loan at Dean Court.

Derby transfer target Dundee left back Paul Dixon has joined Huddersfield on a three-year deal. The Rams were thought to be interested in the highly rated full back. Many fans ,including myself, will be disappointed Derby didn’t sign him particulary after hearing about the club’s interest.

Former Bolton winger James Caton will be at Derby for pre-season and then ‘we’ll all go from there. Good opportunity for him though’ says his agent. The 18 year old is out of contract at Bolton.

Rumours today on twitter said that Leicester had a bid accepted for Jason Shackell however that appears to be untrue as BBC Radio Derby DCFC match commentator Colin Bloomfield said ‘Spoke to Clough yesterday, and no updates since. There’s interest from a number of clubs but no offers reached valuation.’
