Reaction from Barnsley defeat, Transfer Window Summary and Previewing Sunday’s game.

Reaction from Tuesday’s loss at Oakwell

Barnsley 3 (Done 11, Gray pen 23, Wiseman 30)
Derby County 2 (Ward 69, Carroll 90+4)

After going three goals down in the first half and playing poorly the Rams had a good second half but was unable to get any points. New Spurs loan signing, Tom Carroll (below), played well in the second half. Paul green did not travel incase they were any deadline day moves for him, in the end he has remained a Rams player.

Barnsley Team: Steele, Edwards, Foster, Davies, Done, Perkins, Wiseman (Hassell 87), McNulty, Smith (Noble-Lazarus 77), Gray, Tonge (Doyle 66).Subs: Preece, Dagnall. Derby County Team: Fielding, Brayford, Roberts, Bryson, Barker, Shackell, Carroll, Ward, Hendrick, Ball, Noble (Tyson 58).Subs: Legzdins, Buxton, Davies, Bailey.

January Transfer Window Summary

This transfer window was all about getting players ,not involved in Cloughie’s plans, out of the club. However a few players have been brought in. We have had plenty of speculation involving Paul Green’s future at the club but nothing has materialised. The best rumour has to be the Lewis McGugan to Derby one ! Highly (not so) credible source  Wikipedia said he had joined, in the end the rumour seemed to be fans making things up. Sol Campbell was reported to be joining, that seemed to be untrue too !

  Weird rumours (left).

Ins and Outs – January 2012.

Outs– Dean Leacock, Tomasz Cywka, Lee Croft (loan), Aaron Cole (loan), Stephen Pearson, Stephen Bywater.

Ins- Tom Naylor, Ryan Noble (loan), Tom Carroll (loan).

Ins and outs (left)- Cywka at Reading and loan signing Ryan Noble.

Derby County V Forest. Sun 6 Feb

Form (last five matches)-

Derby – lost, lost, drawn, won, won.

Forest- lost, lost, lost, lost, drawn.

League Positions-

Derby – 12th, 41 points.

Forest- 23rd, 24 points.

Last Five Meetings –

Forest 1-2 Derby, Derby 0-1 Forest, Forest 5-2 Derby, Derby 1-0 Forest, Forest 3-2 Derby.

Derby team news-

Nathan Tyson should be available after coming on as a sub at Barnsley. We are still waiting to hear if Theo Robinson will be available while Steve Davies is in contention for the game after revealing it on his Twitter account.

Forest Team News-

Defender Wes Morgan has signed for Leicester. Midfielder Adlene Guedioura will be available following his arrival on loan from Wolves. Greg Cunningham is a doubt after missing Tuesday’s defeat to Burnley. Luke Chambers should return from a three-match suspension to play.

Referee-

ANDY D’URSO
Linesmen – Christopher Akers and Gary Stott
Fourth Official-  Mark Haywood

Key Player (Derby)-

Tom Carroll

Recently arrived on loan from Tottenham, he scored on his debut on Tuesday. Forest have quite an old central midfield (Boeteng, Greening), who have looked well past it this season, so the young 19 year old could well boss that midfield !

Key Player (Forest) –

Marcus Tudgay

The striker is Forest’s top goalscorer this season with 6 goals. (difficult to pick someone, so just went on top goalscorer !).

My Prediction-

Local derbys are usually tight so I’m going for a 1-0 Derby win.

Come on You Rams !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
